Bezug:
AMD Sempron / Athlon II / Phenom II (
AMD)
Details:
The Sempron 140 bases on the same core as the Athlon II X2 does but has one core disabled due to minor issues with stability. For the same reason the Phenom II X4 B50 got one core disabled and is sold as Athlon II X3 450. Depending on the model unlocking disabled cores might work or not. To unlock those cores the only thing to do is enabling ACC (Advanced Clock Calibration) in the BIOS. Note that ACC is available on certain mainboards only.
Happy tweaking! But don't be too angry if your model has a crippled core that can't be unlocked. Keep in mind that it wasn't disabled by accident.
